Before moving to Spain in 2002 I had spent 15 years travelling the length and breadth of the country as a Product Consultant for UK tour operators. I visited every region of Spain inspecting and reviewing all types of Spanish property, from simple village cottages and rustic farmhouses to luxurious villas with private pools. Taking into consideration climate, scenery, accessibility, and a real Spanish atmosphere, I truly believe the Costa Tropical de Granada, in Andalucía, is the best area of Spain to invest in.
My first property was a barn situated close to the coastal town of Motril, which I converted to a comfortable cortijo. Recognising the potential of this relatively non-tourist area of Spain, I partnered with a local estate agency in Salobreña selling villas, apartments, town houses, land and cortijos both in Salobreña itself as well as the coastal town of Almuñécar. We also managed property for sale and rent in the surrounding areas of La Caleta, Lobres, Molvízar and Itrabo.
 In 2005 I sold my property in Motril and purchased a large finca above the pretty mountain village of Guájar Alto in the municipality of Los Guájares, which I renovated and, at the same time, enlarged into a traditional Spanish country house with pool. It is from here that I now work as a property consultant, focusing predominantly on this area, but also maintaining my network of available properties for sale and rent in Salobreña.
